Umesh has 25 years’ experience in managing the financial and commercial functions of significant organisations in both public and private arenas, including in the healthcare sector. He is an accomplished leader with excellent acumen and an impressive record of steering organisations adeptly through robust plans and transformational processes.
As a Chief Financial Officer, Umesh brings with him broad experience in setting up finance functions; streamlining and integrating processes and structures to create cohesive operating environments; as well as team development skills.
Umesh has an excellent record of identifying value drivers, controlling costs, strategic procurement, instilling financial discipline, and creating best practices across organisations. His strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders have also helped him achieve many organisational goals.
Umesh is a member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors; has qualifications from and the Governance Institute of Australia, and Panjab University.
His outstanding CFO experience includes West Moreton Hospital and Health Services, which delivers services across the continuum of healthcare. He was also CFO of Hancock Coal and Infrastructure, and Aditya Birla Minerals Ltd (ASX listed) previously.
