What is Commonwealth Home Support Program?

The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) is an entry level aged care funding assistance program designed to help older Australians who require small amounts of support at home.

Am I eligible?

To determine your CHSP funding eligibility for the Commonwealth Home Support Program, you will need to be assessed by the Regional Assessment Services Team (RAS) or the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). You can ring us at 1300 782 896 and our friendly staff will be happy to guide you through the process.

If you think you need a higher level of support at home, you may require a Home Care Package. Click to learn more.

Please note, Department of Veteran’s Affairs funding is available for Nursing care only.

How much will it cost me?

You may be required to contribute to the cost of your care and this depends on your income and the types or number of services you need. We will advise you of the contributions you might need to pay prior to the start of any service and work closely with you to maximise the care that you will receive.
