Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) provides a variety of in-home and community support programmes focused on assisting you to continue living independently by supporting your health, wellbeing, and community connection.
If you are a Gold Card or White Card holder with low-level care needs, DVA’s Veterans' Home Care (VHC) Program can assist you to continue living in your home. The Program provides a range of home care services designed to maintain your health, wellbeing, and independence.
DVA funding may also be able to assist you with carer support, medication management, community nursing, and mental health services.
Am I eligible?
DVA clients who have a Gold Card or White Card are eligible to apply for a Veterans' Home Care (DVC) Program.
Eligible DVA clients who have eligibility under the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 (VEA) and partners or dependants who have eligibility under the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 (MRCA) are eligible to be assessed for all VHC Services.
How do I apply?
To apply for a VHC Program you can call the VHC Assessment Agency on 1300 550 450. You will then complete an assessment with a VHC Assessor. The aim of the assessment is to learn more about your individual needs and determine the appropriate level of care you require. Following the assessment, you will be able to elect integratedliving as your preferred provider.
