integratedliving was recognised at the 2015 Tasmanian Aged Care Awards, being acknowledged as a Highly Commended 'Provider of Care' in the organisational category.
The awards recognise and reward the outstanding achievements by our staff, organisation and volunteers in providing services for older Tasmanians.
The category required evidence around how we as an organisation are striving for excellence, providers of enhanced innovation and idea generation, increased satisfaction levels from service recipients, increased employee satisfaction and involvement, improved efficiency and effectiveness
as well as improved sustainability. This award recognises organisations that demonstrate special or unique leadership, innovation and excellence in the sector.
Our dedicated Tasmanian team attended the Aged and Community Services Tasmania (ACST) Conference during late November, which was held in Launceston and they showcased integratedliving’s broad range of services, including Telehealth and the Staying Connected initiative.
Staying Connected is an innovative service that has involved 105 ageing Tasmanians to-date, which uses iPads that are provisioned to older isolated people, to help them stay connected with their communities, keep them and their minds active, and to empower them to take charge of their own lives and wellbeing. Some of the ‘Apps’ used within the service are those such as: Facebook, Messenger, YouTube, and Skype.
The Staying Connected service was designed around the principles of our Care Services Embracing Life model and has incorporated assistive technologies to connect people who would otherwise be socially isolated, in a way in which they can be supported and learn about exploring new social avenues at their own pace and in the comfort of their own home.
