Message from CEO - 10 April 2020

Written by Catherine Daley, Chief Executive Officer with integratedliving

Our organisation has a special responsibility during these challenging and unprecedented times – to deliver excellent and safe, essential care to people. Our purpose and values matter a lot to clients, their families, volunteers and our staff.

In a crisis, an individual’s efforts are noticeable.  Our staff, particularly our community based staff, are driven by their desire to make a difference in someone’s life.

Each day they are going the extra mile, putting in the extra effort, whilst also busy managing challenging personal and family situations. Their efforts will and are making a huge difference to the lives of clients.

The safety of all clients and staff is paramount and we can only make positive contributions and live our purpose and values if we stay healthy and avoid spreading the virus.

Our efforts are completely focused on ensuring staff have the right personal protective equipment (PPE) and making sure clients understand what PPE staff will be wearing and in what circumstance. This week we have written to all clients outlining the guidelines.

Due to our unique culture, we often refer to integratedliving as a family. We know many clients personally care about, and respect our staff, it’s a trusted relationship, and this means a great deal to our staff. We want everyone to be safe and remain well. This is a time where we are looking out for each other, practicing kindness and patience.

I am so proud and inspired by the way our organisation has risen to the COVID-19 challenge – with flexibility, resilience and above all courage and a caring heart.

So, let’s continue to work together to keep going and let’s make time this Easter to say a huge thank you to the real ‘good eggs’ – those who continue to deliver essential services each and every day.

Have a safe and peaceful Easter.

Chief Executive Officer
