with Us

integratedliving is extremely fortunate to have more than 300 volunteers who donate their time and talents to our services undertaking a wide range of tasks.

The invaluable support provided by our trained volunteers makes a significant and positive impact on our consumer’s lives and the community. Our wonderful volunteers are a core reason that integratedliving is so successful in helping older people living in rural and remote areas to stay on at home and enjoy life more.

Volunteering has direct benefits for consumers, of course, but also personal benefits for volunteers. Volunteering with integratedliving enables you to build new skills, meet new people, add variety to your work experience and make a difference. In return for your valued contribution, we provide you with training and support to ensure your time with integratedliving is personally satisfying and fulfilling.

Below are some of the areas that you may like to volunteer in. To apply for a volunteering role with integratedliving go to the “How to Apply” page and click on the ‘volunteers’ button.

Volunteers can assist in the following areas:
Activity Centre Assistants

Volunteers assist the Activity Officer at the Activity Centre by helping consumers with activities and serving and ordering meals and drinks. You can help us to provide lifestyle activities such as craft, theme days and outings to clubs, concerts and relevant cultural events.

Administration Duties

Volunteers help with administration duties including filing, photocopying, collating, laminating and phone surveys.

Drivers

Drive our 10-seater buses (or company vehicles) to pick up consumers and bring them to the Activity Centres and/or return them to their homes. Also drive these vehicles on our Social Outings. Deliver meals to consumers.

Home Visits

Volunteers help visit consumers in their homes to provide companionship, have a cup of tea, play a game or have a chat. Home Visiting can also include going out for a coffee and exchanging library books.

Marketing and Promotions Assistants

Volunteers distribute promotional material to businesses and organisations.

Meal Packer

Volunteers pack meals into insulated bags for Meal Service deliveries. Meals are packed to match the order in which they will be delivered.

Meals Services - Driver and Helper

Volunteers collect meals from offices and deliver them using their own cars or a car provided by the organisation. The meals are packed in insulated bags and delivered frozen.

Peer Support

Outings are offered to consumers in peer groups based on age and ability. Activities include ice skating, concerts, ten pin bowling, and going to the movies.

Shopping

Volunteers pick the consumer up at home using their own vehicle or one supplied by the organisation and take them shopping. The volunteer helps the consumer with the shopping and then takes them home. At times the volunteer and consumer may be picked up by integratedliving’s own bus or organisational vehicle and taken to the shopping centre. Shopping is usually for food at the local supermarket. Volunteers also shop for consumers using a prepared shopping list if the consumer is unable to go to the shops.
