A month of connection and celebration at our Activity Centres
July was bursting with energy, connection and celebration across our integratedliving Activity Centres.

We were delighted to welcome integratedliving's new CEO, Nick O’Callaghan, who made a special journey from Victoria to personally connect with more of the people and places that make integratedliving so special.
His visit spanned several of our key sites, beginning at Raymond Terrace and continuing through the Central Coast, with stops at Gorokan, Gosford and Woy Woy.
At each location, Nick took the time to engage meaningfully with our team members, volunteers and clients — listening to stories, sharing laughs and gaining firsthand insight into more of the vibrant communities we serve. His genuine warmth and curiosity were evident in all his interactions, whether he was chatting with a client over morning tea or learning more about the day-to-day operations from our dedicated team members.

One particularly memorable moment? Nick didn’t hesitate to jump into a friendly game of cards, proving he’s not just a strategic leader, but also someone who values connection and camaraderie.
His visit left a lasting impression, and we’re excited for the future under his thoughtful and people-focused leadership.
At our Raymond Terrace Activity Centre, clients were transported to the heart of Egypt through an unforgettable belly dancing experience led by the talented Mikola — a seasoned performer with over three decades of dance expertise. With grace and charisma, Mikola introduced traditional dance styles from Cairo, Upper Egypt and the Alexandrian coast, each rich in cultural heritage and storytelling.

The session wasn’t just a performance, it was a celebration.
Mikola invited clients to join in, guiding them through a lively routine set to the iconic Arabic classic Alf Leila we Leila (or 1001 Nights).
The music pulsed with energy, and the room came alive with movement, laughter and curiosity.
Adding to the magic were Mikola’s dazzling costume changes, each more vibrant and ornate than the last. They brought extra sparkle, colour and authenticity to the experience. Her warmth and passion for the artform created a joyful atmosphere that left everyone smiling, swaying and feeling a little more connected to the rhythms of the world.

At our Gosford Activity Centre, clients were treated to a heartwarming visit from the children of Cubbyhouse Preschool, located right next door.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter and energy as the children eagerly joined in a variety of activities — from playful games to gentle exercises that brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
To top it all off, the preschoolers performed a series of songs and dances they had lovingly rehearsed, creating a truly special moment of connection between generations. These visits not only brighten the day for all involved, they also foster meaningful relationships and a sense of community across age groups. We’re already looking forward to welcoming the children back for another joyful visit soon.

Over at our Woy Woy Activity Centre, excitement filled the air as a film crew arrived to capture the unique spirit and energy of the community.
Clients were intrigued by the buzz of production — watching the cameras roll, clapperboards snap and crew members orchestrate scenes with precision and flair.
Far from being passive observers, many clients engaged with the crew, sharing stories, smiles and a few curious questions about the film-making process. The crew responded with warmth and enthusiasm, clearly enjoying the lively atmosphere and heartfelt interactions.
By the end of the visit, the crew left not only with great footage, but also with a deep appreciation for the vibrant and welcoming community that defines our Woy Woy Centre. We’re proud to have made such a lasting impression!
July reminded us of the joy that comes from shared experiences, creative expression and inter-generational connection. We’re so grateful to everyone who made it special and we’re already looking forward to what next month brings!
