Beach days and musical magic across our Centres
A joyful look at the creative celebrations across our Activity Centres.
Bringing the beach indoors
Across our Activity Centres, clients were treated to a vibrant indoor seaside escape. Our creative Activity Officers transformed our spaces with colour, fun and plenty of coastal charm. With our friends from Woy Woy joining the Gosford Centre while it undergoes repairs, the happily blended group affectionately adopted the nickname 'Woyford'. The celebrations reflected that shared spirit.
Windows were decorated with bright summer scenes, tables were dressed in beach‑themed cloths, and clients arrived in their favourite holiday outfits. Sensory touches, like the scent of sunscreen, sun hats, beach umbrellas and even a cheeky 'lifeguard' dummy brought the atmosphere to life and sparked plenty of laughter.

Creative coastal activities and sweet treats
Clients enjoyed an indoor fishing game, gathered around a playful pool set-up and created beautiful seaside‑inspired artwork. The room was filled with connection, conversation and the kind of relaxed joy that comes from fun shared experiences.
No trip to the beach is complete without the perfect summer menu. Our brilliant Activity Officers improvised and built their very own version of an ice-cream van, serving up delicious ice-cream cones to keep everyone cool and satisfied.

Melodies, memories and musical fun
Music also took centre stage across our Centres this past month, with clients enjoying immersive, uplifting and nostalgic experiences. A virtual trip to Woodstock set the tone, transporting everyone back to the 1960s. Clients embraced the peace‑and‑love theme with colourful outfits and plenty of groovy energy.
At Raymond Terrace, Activity Officer Rachel delivered two lively performances that had everyone singing along. While over at Gorokan, volunteer Ann brought warmth and joy with her keyboard performance, leading a heartfelt singalong that filled the room with smiles.
Together, these moments of music, laughter and shared connection create a warm, uplifting atmosphere that continue to bring our Centres and communities even closer.

Celebrating creativity and community
At Raymond Terrace, there is always plenty of wonderful craft happening. This month, the group created stunning paper flowers, including some beautiful tulips. It was a lovely sight to see everyone proudly taking their handmade blooms home on the bus.
Across every Centre, our Activity Officers continue to design experiences that bring people together through music, creativity, shared memories and a whole lot of fun. Their passion helps create moments that stay with our clients long after the decorations come down.
