Celebrating community connections across the Central Coast
Connecting with locals through creativity, support and events
Community connection is at the heart of everything we do. This month, our Activity Centre teams celebrated the power of local partnerships, creativity and meaningful conversations through community events and a special recognition of a valued local organisation.
Celebrating creativity and community spirit
Our Gosford Centre recently hosted a special morning tea to welcome and thank the Broadlands Residents Men’s Shed for their outstanding contribution to our Journey of Connection artwork project.
The Men’s Shed team crafted a beautiful bespoke frame that brings together four artwork pieces from across our centres into one striking display. Their skill, generosity and ongoing support have helped bring this collaborative project to life while enhancing previous initiatives they have supported over the years.
As a token of our appreciation, attending members Graham, Phil and Men’s Shed President Peter were presented with a commemorative thank-you plaque, recognising their craftsmanship and commitment to the local community.
We would also like to thank our client, Sandra, who first introduced us to the Broadlands Residents Men’s Shed and helped establish this valued partnership.
The morning was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate collaboration, creativity and the strong community spirit that helps us thrive.
Connecting with the Central Coast community
This month also saw our team out and about across the Central Coast, connecting directly with local residents and sharing information about the support services available through integratedliving.
Activity Centre Coordinator, Jane attended the Seniors Expo at Central Coast Leagues Club, spending the day speaking with community members seeking information and guidance about aged care and support services.
Following the event, Activity Officer Tracey and Irepresented integratedliving at the Central Coast Dementia Alliance (CCDA) Expo at Mingara. The expo provided a welcoming environment for people living with dementia, carers and family members to connect with local services, resources and support networks.
These events provide valuable opportunities to engage with the community, answer questions and help people access the support they need to live well and remain connected.
We are grateful for every opportunity to connect with local residents, community groups and partner organisations. Building relationships and strengthening community connections remains an important part of the work we do.
