Celebrating connection through birds and music

Clients embraced birds and music across our Activity Centres

This was a month filled with vibrant activity, heartfelt awareness and joyful creativity across our Raymond Terrace, Gosford, Woy Woy and Gorokan communities. From counting birds to dancing in dazzling costumes, here's a look at the highlights that brought us together.

Aussie Bird Count

Across Raymond Terrace, Gosford, Woy Woy and Gorokan, our communities embraced the Aussie Bird Count with enthusiasm and creativity. At Raymond Terrace, the garden was a hub of activity as residents harvested fresh potatoes and planted new seedlings. While tending to the earth, they also kept their eyes on the skies, counting birds and crafting beautiful feeders to welcome their feathered visitors.

In Gosford, the celebration took a hands-on turn with the creation of birdseed hangers made from a mix of seeds and gelatin. These charming treats attracted plenty of birds and even a curious water dragon who couldn’t resist a taste! The joy of crafting and connecting with nature made the week truly memorable.

Woy Woy residents enjoyed a delightful blend of gardening and crafting, creating birdseed hangers and spending time outdoors. The activities sparked conversations, laughter and a deeper appreciation for the wildlife around us.

At Gorokan, the focus was on quiet observation and connection. Clients spent time outdoors counting birds and soaking in the peaceful rhythm of nature, making the most of the opportunity to engage with the environment.

Hearing Loss Awareness

To mark Hearing Loss Awareness Week and celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, our communities turned up the music and danced with joy.

At Raymond Terrace, the atmosphere was electric as clients dressed up and danced their way through The Time Warp, sharing laughter and a sense of nostalgia. Gosford added a splash of colour with their vibrant 'Loud Shirts' raising awareness while grooving to the iconic tune.

Woy Woy took the celebration to the next level by producing a creative music video inspired by Rocky Horror, showcasing the talent, teamwork and sparkle of everyone involved. Meanwhile, at Gorokan, clients joined in the fun with their own lively dance session and are now eagerly awaiting the final cut of the collaborative video – a joyful reminder of the power of community and expression.
