Friendship and fun at our Activity Centres
Joy, gratitude and hands-on fun light up our Activity Centres.
Friends and gratitude
To celebrate National Friendship Day, clients created heartfelt self-portraits with their friends. These captured not just faces, but the warmth of connection and shared memories. Activity Officer Renee invited everyone to reflect on what matters most with a beautiful Gratitude Tree. Each leaf carried a personal message of thanks, reminding us all of the quiet power of appreciation.
Curiosity, collaboration and creative expression
Science took Centre stage as our team members Lisa and Maz led hands-on experiments that sparked wonder and laughter from inflating balloons with baking soda and vinegar to swirling colours in milk. Curiosity was contagious!
Our wonderful Sandra collaborated with the men at Broadlands Estate to create a new calendar for our Centre and we extend our heartfelt thanks to them for this lovely addition to our wall.
Activity Officer Craig rallied clients for a collaborative build – a custom game table crafted from scratch. From planning to execution, every participant brought their unique skills 'to the table', creating something truly special.
Meanwhile, Bek added a personal touch with custom walker tags, and teamed up with Julie to welcome spring with a stunning posy of pink blooms. Their floral creation brought colour and joy to the Centre.
Music, movement and rock ’n roll vibes
Live music lit up the room when performer Ali Payne visited, filling the space with dancing, singing and infectious energy. Clients and our team members alike were swept up in the rhythm.
Nicole introduced fresh ways to stay active, leading Tai Chi and Scarf Dancing sessions that blended calm movement with vibrant energy and proved that variety really is the spice of life.
To top it all off, Rachel orchestrated a Grease-themed celebration, complete with retro outfits, diner-style treats and classic rock ’n roll tunes. It was a nostalgic day full of laughter, dancing and unforgettable moments.
