With National Reconciliation Week (NRW) 2025 upon us, we take this opportunity to reflect on the crucial importance of reconciliation, both within integratedliving and throughout Australia. This year's theme, 'Bridging Now to Next', encourages us to learn from our past, engage actively in the present, and make meaningful strides towards a united future.
National Reconciliation Week is a time to commemorate two significant milestones in Australia’s reconciliation journey: the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court's Mabo decision. These historic events serve as reminders of our progress and the work that remains in building an inclusive nation. The 2025 theme of 'Bridging Now to Next' embodies the connection between our past, present and future, urging Australians to advance together, guided by past experiences.
integratedliving's Commitment to Reconciliation
integratedliving is fully committed to reconciliation with our First Nations people and culture. We are in the process of establishing our inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) this year. Our RAP Working Group is making significant progress with the Reflect RAP expected in coming months. We are delighted to be working with an outstanding First Nations artist to encapsulate our reconciliation message visually.
National Reconciliation Week is not only a time for reflection but also a call to action. It emphasises the importance of creating safe, inclusive, and person-centred environments, while building trusting relationships with clients, families, colleagues and communities. By embracing dignity and respect, we aim to achieve better outcomes for all Australians with our Reconciliation Action Plan a significant part of this.
