Important Visits to Toowoomba Wellness Centre
Toowoomba Mayor Geoff McDonald and Queensland State MP Trevor Watts throw their ongoing support behind our Toowoomba Wellness Centre.
We were delighted to recently welcome two prominent Queensland political figures to our Toowoomba Wellness Centre. The Toowoomba Region's Mayor Geoff McDonald and State Member for Toowoomba North, Trevor Watts MP, both paid special visits to the Centre to learn more about the vital work we do in supporting clients and the community.

During their respective visits, both Geoff and Trevor took the time to meet our dedicated team, engage with our wonderful clients, and even participate in a few of our Wellness Centre games.
Their friendly and genuine approach was warmly received by everyone involved, and their interest in our programs was evident throughout their time with us.
A key focus of these visits was lending their wholehearted support to our application for a Lottery Fund grant. They both spoke with our dedicated Wellness Centre Coordinator, Shelley, regarding the grant and the benefits it would bring not just to clients within our Centre, but also older people out in the community. Shelley explained the grant would assist in expanding our facilities, enabling us to expand our specialised equipment, increase community outreach through home visits, and host a range of wellness classes in residential lifestyle villages in the wider community.
These improvements would make it possible to support more people across the Toowoomba region to remain active, independent and connected to their community.

Both Trevor Watts MP and Mayor Geoff McDonald expressed their full support for our grant application and commended the Centre’s efforts in promoting physical, mental and holistic wellness within their ageing community.
They also shared their encouragement and well wishes for the success of our plans moving forward.
The integratedliving team are truly grateful for Geoff and Trevor's time, interest and ongoing support. Visits like these reinforce the value of collaboration between local leaders and community services. We’re proud to be part of a community that champions the wellbeing and independence of older Australians, and we look forward to continuing this work and reaching more people who can benefit greatly from it.
