New Digital Dialogue program ready for launch
A refreshed program empowering older adults online.
integratedliving's updated Digital Dialogue program has been skillfully redesigned to better meet clients' needs. It is designed particularly for older adults who want to build confidence using technology in a supportive and low‑pressure environment.
"The program focuses on practical, easy‑to‑apply skills that help make everyday tasks simpler while encouraging greater independence with digital devices," said Digital Support Officer Team Leader Robert Baxendale.
Based on client feedback, sensitive topics such as online safety, password management, and accessing government services are now delivered one‑on‑one.
"This ensures clients receive personalised support tailored to their individual needs while maintaining privacy when dealing with personal information," Robert said. "This approach helps clients feel more secure as they learn to navigate essential digital services.
"From the outset, clients are introduced to clear, friendly and easy‑to‑follow topics that help them become comfortable with their iPad. Step‑by‑step guidance allows clients to set up and personalise their device without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. This helps them to gain early confidence and a strong foundation for the rest of the program," Robert said.
The refreshed program also prioritises relevant and meaningful content. "Older, less‑engaging material has been removed, allowing a stronger focus on topics that support day‑to‑day living. These include staying connected with family, online shopping, managing health information, exploring hobbies and more," he said.
"These skills help clients feel more capable and confident in their digital lives.
"The program now aligns more closely with our social sessions, giving clients the opportunity to revisit topics, ask questions and practice skills in a relaxed group setting. This blended model supports ongoing learning, encourages social connection and helps clients continue building confidence with their devices," Robert said.
