Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards

The standards that relate to your safety, health and wellbeing

The Australian Government recognises the importance of your safety, health and overall wellbeing as a client. To ensure high-quality care, it has introduced a strengthened framework known as the Aged Care Quality Standards (Quality Standards). These standards define what good care looks like and outline the level of care you can expect from your aged care provider - whether you live in an aged care home or receive support in your own home. The updated Quality Standards take effect on 1 November 2025 under the new Aged Care Act 2024.

At integratedliving, we are fully aligned with and supportive of these strengthened Quality Standards. Our commitment and obligation to these standards reflects our dedication to delivering care that is not only safe and effective but also tailored to your individual needs and preferences.

The strengthened Quality Standards place greater emphasis on key areas that matter most to older people, including dementia care, diversity, governance and clinical care. The standards apply to any provider receiving governing funding for aged care services.

At integratedliving we are committed to providing safe and high-quality care. We partner with clients and those who they wish to be involved in their care to provide person-centred care. The registered supporter role is one of the changes under the new Act that aim to promote older people’s right to be supported to make decisions. A registered supporter can be a trusted family member or friend of an older person’s choosing. An older person can have more than one registered supporter.

We are committed to the Statement of Principles which put the safety, health and quality of life of older people first. That we empower workers and carers to give feedback and support change. That we deliver services that are transparent and accessible and as a Providers we continually to engage, partner with clients and aim to improve our services.
