Culture Champions initiative strengthens integratedliving’s values

Recognising team members who bring integratedliving’s culture to life

integratedliving launched Culture Champions in May as a recognition initiative supporting the rollout of the organisation's refreshed Culture Framework. Running from June to November, the initiative celebrates team members who demonstrate integratedliving's Values, Leader Principles and Safety Standards in their everyday work.

As part of the rollout, monthly spotlights focus on a different Value, Leader Principle or Safety Standard, helping teams connect these important cultural elements to everyday behaviours. Culture Champions recognises team members who receive acknowledgements through Perkbox, integratedliving's peer-to-peer recognition platform, showcasing positive examples from across the organisation.

Head of People Experience Julia Kroll said the recognition initiative was designed to help teams engage with the Culture Framework in a meaningful and practical way.

"Culture Champions helps teams connect with our refreshed Values, Leader Principles and Safety Standards by shining a spotlight on the people who demonstrate them in practice. Through the monthly spotlights, we're celebrating the behaviours that contribute to a positive culture and support the work we do for older Australians," Julia said.

Recognising culture in action

Since the first spotlight was introduced in May, integratedliving has seen a clear increase in Perkbox recognitions. The uplift reflects the enthusiasm of team members to acknowledge colleagues who embody the behaviours highlighted through each monthly focus area, whether through living the organisation's Values, demonstrating leadership or contributing to a safe workplace.

The monthly spotlights form part of integratedliving's broader Culture Framework rollout, which brings together the organisation's Values, Leader Principles and Safety Standards. The framework provides a shared foundation for how team members work, lead, collaborate and create safe environments, supporting integratedliving's vision of creating a better everyday life for older Australians.

By recognising team members who bring these behaviours to life, Culture Champions reinforces the practical application of the Culture Framework and highlights the positive contributions being made across teams. The initiative provides an opportunity to celebrate the people who exemplify each spotlight theme and share real examples of the framework in action.

One of the first Culture Champions, Nicole Hudson, said the initiative has helped highlight the positive impact of recognition across the organisation.

"Since the introduction of Perkbox, team members across the business have been able to easily give a shout out, recognise great work, or acknowledge the contributions of others. Over the past few months, I have really enjoyed reading the messages shared to celebrate birthdays, work anniversaries, positive client feedback and team members stepping in to help fill unfilled services. Having a platform that allows us to do this universally across the organisation has created many great stories and moments of recognition to share," Nicole said.
