Festive fun at Raymond Terrace
The past month has been a vibrant and productive time at the Raymond Terrace Activity Centre, with holiday preparations in full swing. The Centre is brimming with festive cheer thanks to an array of Christmas arts and crafts.
Each day starts with light guided exercises, including chair yoga, balloon tennis, table soccer or breathing exercises. These set an energising tone for the day ahead. Staying active as we age brings countless benefits, such as boosting wellbeing, speeding up recovery from illness, reducing the risk of chronic disease, and improving balance to prevent falls.
Adding to the excitement, our sensory garden has been a favourite spot, with clients harvesting fresh veggies like cherry tomatoes, radishes, spinach and celery. It’s a delightful way to connect with nature and enjoy the season’s bounty.

Summer spirit at Woy Woy
With summer just around the corner, clients embraced the outdoors, planting seeds that will soon blossom into a colourful display of flowers and herbs. All a perfect way to welcome the sunny days ahead and connect with nature.
Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming Twelve Days of Christmas performance! Clients have been busy crafting imaginative props, from emu masks and dingo designs to some cheeky styrofoam flies. It’s shaping up to be a truly entertaining show.
Adding to the festive spirit, everyone enjoyed a hands-on morning tea session, decorating Christmas cookies with flair. Thanks to our amazing Activity Officers, there’s never a dull moment as they continue to create new and fun ways to keep everyone active, connected and full of holiday cheer.

Sunshine and smiles at Gorokan
Adding to the joy, the backyard welcomed its first sunflower of the season. We took it as a cheerful sign that summer has officially arrived. With so many memorable days behind us, we’re looking forward to even more sunshine, smiles and special moments ahead.

Heartwarming moments at Gosford
At Gosford, the past few weeks have been filled with touching memories and creative fun. Clients took a trip down memory lane, exploring the history of the Central Coast through old photographs. Louie, our resident farmer from Terrigal, shared captivating stories from his life on the farm, sparking lively discussions about the past.
A truly special reunion took place when Muriel, who recently transferred to the Gorokan Activity Centre, returned to Gosford for a two-week visit. She was particularly thrilled to reconnect with her dear friend Elaine, after three months apart. Their reunion was filled with shared memories, laughter and a reminder that the friendships formed at the Activity Centre are lasting and meaningful.
Muriel and Elaine are already making plans to meet up again soon, proving that no distance or time apart can break these special bonds.
