Our Wellness Centres are exercise hubs that have been purpose built for people over 65 years of age.

Senior gyms with great benefits

With state-of-the-art equipment, our Wellness Centres offer group classes and personalised exercise programs specifically designed for more mature bodies. You can work one-on-one.

Our Centres are inclusive, welcoming and fun, providing great opportunities for enriching social interaction and friendships as you look after your health and wellbeing. Our skilled and friendly team hosts regular morning teas where everyone is invited.

There are monthly themed exercise challenges to help keep everyone motivated and having lots of fun as you work towards your exercise goals. There are smiles aplenty.


What's on offer?

Exercise classes:

  • Gym - fully supervised small group classes using state-of-the-art HUR equipment designed for older bodies. 

  • Stretch and Flow - suitable for all fitness levels, these classes are largely done seated and help improve flexibility, mindfulness, energy, mobility, balance and reduce stress.

  • Circuit - classes using small equipment as well as body-weight exercises to improve movement, balance, strength, and mobility.


Personalised exercise programs 
- Our experts can develop a personalised program to cater to your goals, needs, health conditions and circumstances. Your progress will be closely monitored and exercises modified as necessary. 

Exercise Physiology - Our professional Exercise Physiologists work with you one-on-one to guide you through your personalised exercise program. They are qualified to support you to improve strength, mobility, balance, falls prevention, pain management, and general health and wellbeing. They also assist in managing chronic health conditions. The aim is always to restore one's optimal physical function and health, and to prevent or manage any chronic diseases or injury. 

Let's Have a Conversation morning teas - We host free morning teas and regular talks with guest speakers from the community on relevant issues, as well as presentations from our qualified team members on important health topics. All are welcome to attend at no cost.

Our exercise classes are run by accredited Exercise Physiologists (Allied Health Professionals) with assistance from qualified Personal Trainers, who specialise in exercise and movement for the prevention and management of chronic diseases, injuries and complex medical conditions.

Yes, this service can be aligned with your values and preferences. Our Wellness Centre coordinators and Exercise Physiologists will take the time to learn your individual care needs to ensure they're considered when making their recommendations. They will also encourage you to set meaningful goals and help you to achieve them. You can also opt to have your preferred support person included during the consultations, or access interpreting services if required.

Our exercise classes are designed specifically to help each individual reach their goals. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned exerciser, you will benefit from our Wellness Centre programs and services.

An initial assessment will be conducted with one of our Exercise Physiologists to discuss your health condition and exercise background. Together, we will design an exercise program to help you reach your goals and we have a variety of equipment that can be modified for varying needs.

Depending on the funding level you have been assigned to by My Aged Care, you may be able to access transportation options through your funding package. Reach out to us at 1300 782 896 to find out more.

Please wear enclosed shoes and comfortable clothing that you can move freely in.

Our virtual services are perfect for anyone who cannot physically attend classes at our Wellness Centre. We have online options for our Movement Classes, Stretch and Flow and Exercise Physiology, designed specifically for you to complete in the comfort of your own home with ongoing coaching calls with our exercise staff. Reach out to us to learn more. 

Unfortunately no. Please ensure that you have access to Zoom on your personal device and have internet connection before commencing your virtual exercise class with us. Do not hesitate to reach out if you need any help, our staff will be able to assist you getting set up and ensure that your device is working properly before we start the activity.

Yes, all equipment will be provided to you during your exercise classes at the Wellness Centre. We do not provide mobility aids, but you may be able to access this equipment separately through your government funding package. Reach out to our centre coordinators or head across to our Aids and Sensors page to learn more.

No, these will need to be returned to the centre after every exercise class.
