What is integratedliving's Consumer Advisory Group?
The role of the Consumer Advisory Group is to provide feedback to the Board of Directors of integratedliving about ways to improve our delivery of care and services. The Consumer Advisory Group is important because they:
- Look at the quality of care and services from a consumer’s point of view.
- Find and communicate consumers’ needs and issues.
- Identify opportunities for improvement.
Who is a consumer?
A consumer is a current or previous client and their representatives. integratedliving’s Consumer Advisory Group will:
- Be made up mostly of current consumers (for example clients receiving services) and their representatives.
- Aim to have representation across the different services and locations.
- Reflect the diverse backgrounds of clients and their representatives.
What support will integratedliving offer?
- Ensure there are opportunities for everyone who is interested in participating including people living with visual and hearing impairment, cognitive decline, language barriers, or mobility issues.
- Orientate and induct consumers to the Consumer Advisory Group.
- Coordinate meetings at a time that works for Consumers.
- Support from the Consumer Advisory Group’s facilitator. This includes support to identify matters of importance, assistance with technology, report writing and sharing relevant information.
- Provide feedback from the governing body about how they are responding to your feedback.
Who are we looking for?
integratedliving is looking for consumers who:
- Are willing and able to volunteer their time to provide constructive feedback and recommendations. This should represent the diversity of integratedliving’s consumers’ perspectives and experience.
- Have the ability to, with support, provide feedback to the Board of Directors about the quality of care and services provided, which may include:
- Assisting with the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Promoting client and client representative participation and involvement in decision-making processes.
- Participating in the design and delivery of services to meet the needs of diverse clients.
- Have the ability to meet virtually at least twice per year. Meetings will be held online, so members will need access to a computer, laptop or other device to log in to the meeting.
