Our Reconciliation Action Plan

integratedliving's inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has been endorsed by Reconciliation Australia and was officially launched on Monday 17 November 2025.

Our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan

integratedliving is proud to launch our inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) — a roadmap that marks an important first step in our ongoing commitment to building strong relationships and supporting the wellbeing and equality of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Our Reflect RAP builds on a strong foundation of meaningful action—celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultures, delivering culturally safe services, and providing cultural safety training for our team. It has been shaped by consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, whose insights continue to guide our efforts toward greater cultural safety and inclusion.

While this marks just the beginning of our RAP journey, we are excited to take these next steps together — continuing to learn, acknowledge the past, and work in genuine partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to create a more inclusive and respectful future for all.

Our Action Areas

Our Reflect RAP focuses on four key action areas: Relationships, Respect, Opportunities and Governance.

We will build respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, foster cultural awareness throughout our organisation, and create meaningful employment opportunities.

Our plan includes initiatives such as:

  • Implementing cultural safety, trauma-informed and rights-based care training for our team members.
  • Building strong partnerships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations.
  • Increasing employment and career opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Ensuring our services are culturally safe, trauma aware and healing informed, and meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
  • Providing education and learning opportunities for team members to acknowledge past harm, understanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, and commit to reconciliation through continuous learning, unlearning and relearning.

Our Artwork

Waluwin, meaning to ‘Live Well’

integratedliving’s story of connection and reconciliation.

Our RAP artwork has been created by Wiradjuri artist Kylie Cassidy to beautifully embody the spirit and mission of integratedliving. It celebrates the invaluable contributions of our clients, team members and stakeholders, and our shared journey towards reconciliation.

This piece captures the essence of empowering our Elders to live independently with confidence and dignity in their communities. During its creation, Kylie discovered a connection with a former client, Madeline, who was her art teacher and mentor in her early adult life. Madeline's teachings deeply influenced the artwork, adding a rich layer of personal history and shared experience.

central meeting place
At its heart is a central meeting place surrounded by people. It honours our clients as our Elders who are the knowledge-holders of our communities. Two ochre lines and white dot work around this meeting place symbol represents the comforting, wrap-around support of family and community.
journey lines
Journey lines along the top and bottom are filled with symbols of diverse landscapes (rainforests, coasts, mountains, rivers, snow country), reflecting integratedliving's extensive footprint across regional and rural Australia.
footprints
Footprints signify our deep, ongoing connection to Country and walking together.
smaller meeting place
Smaller meeting place symbols leading to the centre represent our services in people’s homes and communities, including our Wellness and Activity Centres.
dreaming symbols
Dreaming symbols within the artwork further emphasise a deepening connection to cultural knowledge.

Our RAP Working Group

The Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group (RWG) is a cross-functional team from across integratedliving that guides, implements, and monitors our Reflect RAP. The RWG plays a vital role in embedding reconciliation throughout the organisation by championing our commitments, supporting initiatives, promoting cultural awareness and inclusion, and engaging with internal stakeholders and First Nations communities.

RAP Consultant

The Working Group and our RAP journey are being supported by Kristal Kinsela, a proud Indigenous leader and descendant of the Jawoyn and Wiradjuri nations.
