Drama group to premiere their short film at local cinema

Woy Woy, Gosford and Gorokan drama groups create and star in Where The Lost Things Go, with a special premiere on 25 November.

The film, a comedy, written and directed by integratedliving’s Central Coast Activity Centre clients, has been a labour of love for all involved in its production. Working with a local drama therapist, clients have tapped into their creativity and built connections.

integratedliving’s Dementia Services Manager, Kerry Garth, is thrilled that the film has had such a positive effect on so many of the clients.

“Putting the film together was both exciting and rewarding. Our clients all worked extremely hard and were very particular about getting the details right, including set design, costumes and make up.

“Our clients drew from their personal stories of everyday life, love and friendship as a means to celebrate their individual value. The project has allowed our clients the scope to be in the moment and create something unique. Their comedic skills will make people smile,” said Ms Garth.

CEO of integratedliving, Catherine Daley, is thrilled that a program at the Central Coast Activity Centres has resulted in such a wonderful experience for the clients and team members.

“We know that remaining socially connected can be a challenge as people get older. Friends and family may move away and meeting new people can be quite daunting. Our Activity Centres are comfortable and relaxing places where people can meet others of a similar age and stay socially connected

“The production of this film has meant so much to our clients on the Central Coast and I’m excited they have the opportunity to see the fruits of their labours on the big screen,” said Ms Daley.
