Whether you enjoy a sing-a-long, prefer art and crafts, or love pottering in the garden, our activities for seniors include a great range of fun and interesting classes. If you are keen to keep your mind and feet moving, you can try our floor Moto Tiles to improve mobility and balance, while others might enjoy learning a language or visiting a new country ‘virtually’.

These seniors activities are suitable for those living with dementia, as they help to encourage social connections and promote a happier, more relaxed mood.

What activities are included?

You can take part in any of our fun and engaging activity classes when you come along to one of our enriching Activity Centres. A chance to build social and cognitive connections, all activity classes are facilitated by our professional and friendly team members who ensure each person participates to the best of their ability on that day, and above all, everyone enjoys themselves!

Eligibility criteria*

  • You need to be aged over 65 or over 50 for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders.
  • Some services may be available to people aged under 65.
  • To access this service online, you will need an internet connection and a computer or tablet (call us to learn how we can provide these for you).

Yes, this service can be aligned with your values and preferences. Our team and volunteers will take the time to learn your individual cultural and care needs so they are always considered when making their recommendations. You can also opt to have your preferred support person included during the consultations, or access interpreting services if required.

Absolutely. Our Activity Centres are an inclusive space and are designed to provide care for a range of needs and abilities.

Yes. We have the appropriate infrastructure in place for those in wheelchairs.

Our Social Sessions are perfect for anyone who cannot physically attend an activity or program at our Activity Centre. Join us via Zoom for activities such as arts and craft, trivia, bingo, armchair travel and more.

Yes, these will be provided to you at the centres during the activity. If you are participating virtually, you may have to purchase these items (e.g. pencil and paper) at your own expense. Speak to our friendly centre coordinators before commencing the class or program to learn more.

Yes, we do have activities designed for people living across different stages of dementia, and our professional team are trained to ensure everyone engages with the fun, understanding and social connection on offer. Each session has a focus on cognitive and social stimulation, which is very beneficial for those living with dementia.
